7/8/11- Last Day in Dijon

Today was our official last day in Dijon. We had our final CityLoft Hotel continental breakfast, (chocolate filled croissants, baguettes w/ butter, and yogurt), before heading to a lecture taught by Dr. Tim Stearns. Following class our Dijon hosts from the Burgundy School of Business presented the Fresno State students with souvenir T-shirts. Returning from class we stopped at the central produce/butcher market which was bustling with clothing and jewelry retailers as well since it was Friday. Stopping at the Petite Casino grocery store I bought some ham and cheese croissants for lunch and a bottle of Burgundy Pinot Noir wine for the afternoon/night. Finishing lunch around 1pm, I ventured out by myself to visit the Dijon's popular garden, Jardin de L'Arquebuse. On my way back I met up with a some other students and visited Dijon's city hall square, "Palais des Ducs", where we climbed to the top of a palace tower for what is arguably the best aerial view of Dijon, (see video below). Tonight our group plans on going out to a late dinner and then coming back to the hotel somewhat early to prepare for our early departure to to Brussels.

Hope you enjoy the pics and I'll see you in Belgium!
